Crochet Easter Eggs

Posted by vicki brown on

Hello!

I've just whipped a few of these little crochet amigurumi eggs last minute to pop on our Easter tree and they are such a quick make I thought I would share my pattern with you in case you too are in need of some joyful crochet this long weekend.

They use such a small quantity of yarn they would be great for using up colourful leftovers.

EASTER TREE CROCHET EGG

I have written them up in two sizes, one slightly bigger than the other. You can stuff them or keep them flat. I did a bit of both for mine - I stuffed mine with my yarn ends that I store away for such purposes.

MATERIALS

  • DK weight yarn - any DK weight yarn would work - in fact I'm sure any yarn would work here - but the size would vary if you changed up the yarn thickness. I used a 10g mini skein and made 3 eggs with a little left over.
  • 4.5mm hook
  • tapestry needle
  • stuffing (optional)

ABBREVIATIONS  - the pattern is written in UK terms - US terms can be found in brackets below.

dc - Double Crochet (Single Crochet)

dc2tog - Double Crochet (Single Crochet) two stitches together

rep - Repeat

rnd - Round

sl st - Slip Stitch

st - Stitch
