27 Weeks ::

Thinking about birthing. I know it's still a bit early but my mind has been mulling over my birthing options a lot over the last week or so. I ordered 2 new books from amazon last week, Juju Sundin's, Birth Skills: Proven pain-management techniques for your labour and birth, which I read in my last pregnancy and loved and Ina May's Guide to Childbirthby Ina May Gaskin, which I spied someone...

Posted by vicki brown on

Posted by vicki brown on
I'm starting to plan my maternity leave, though I have no date officially set in stone yet, I'm thinking probably end of July beginning of August to coincide with Milo's summer holidays. We're going to be away a far bit during the holidays and I really wanted to have plenty of time to spend with Milo, enjoying each others company. As any parent who works from home knows, I'm sure, trying to work...
Polymer Clay, Crochet Hook Handles :: A Tutorial ::
Posted by vicki brown on
Last Christmas, I decided to make up some polymer clay covered crochet hooks as gifts for my nieces, to accompany the Magic Yarn Balls I also made up for them. It's a fairly simple and fun project I'd thought I'd share with you today.
For a long time I only ever used the small metal handled crochet hooks you see in these pictures here. I never had any problems with using these and though I would...
