make 100 skeins kickstarter campaign

If you followed me for the last couple of years, you may have been aware of the Kickstarter campaign I ran back in January 2020 and 2021. Inspired by Kickstarter's MAKE 100 campaign, I decided to do 100 completely one of a kind hand dyed skeins of yarn.

It's a really fun project that I love doing at this time of year as it resets my creative processes and I get to play around with new dyeing techniques.

Essentially - there are 100 Sock weight and 100 DK weight 100g skeins of yarn available. Each and every skein will be completely unique, using all kinds of techniques and colours.

This year I'm also having some jigsaw puzzles made up of a photograph of last years skiens all laid out in a glorious rainbow. The puzzles are 1000 pieces, made in the UK and boxed and are an optional add on to the yarn.

If you've not used Kickstarter before here's a little run down of how it works ...

On my campaign page you'll see my rewards - either sock weight or double knit weight 100g skeins, if you choose to back my project you can choose one of those rewards. If you would also like the jigsaw puzzle you can add that on to your pledge for an additional £25.

The campaign runs for 30 days.

If my project reaches it's funding target then it all goes ahead - it it doesn't then nothing else happens.

If it does reach it's target, then at the end of the campaign (January 31st) anyone who has pledged will be charged for their reward - no money will come out of you account until this date.

Then I send out a questionnaire through kickstarter to obtain your shipping address and I'll check for any particular colour dislikes.

Then I get to work - I'll dye up all of the yarn and get it ready to ship out - my deadline for this is April - but I will endeavour to get them all dyed and shipped sooner. The puzzles will ship with the yarn.

I'm so excited about this project and especially looking forward to getting my hands on the jigsaw puzzle.
